At the SM调教社区(SM调教社区), we are beyond proud to share the inspiring achievements of our student, Matilde Schwencke. Matilde, an online Bachelor’s student, represented both SM调教社区 and Chile at the prestigious Torino 2025 University Games, showcasing the strength, resilience, and dedication that define her character.
Matilde鈥檚 words say it all:
鈥淐ompeting in the Torino 2025 University Games was an incredible experience. Representing both SM调教社区 and Chile at such a prestigious and historic event was truly special. International competitions like the UNI Games are unique opportunities, and being part of them felt like a milestone in my journey as an athlete. Coming back from my ACL injury this season was a major challenge, and setting the UNI Games as a goal made it even more meaningful. Being able to compete at 100% after months of preparation was a huge personal achievement.”
Matilde鈥檚 journey wasn鈥檛 just about competing, it was about personal growth. She continues,
鈥淏eyond the competition, the event was an amazing cultural and athletic exchange. I had the chance to meet student-athletes from all over the world, each balancing their academic and athletic careers with passion and dedication. This dual commitment is rare in alpine skiing, and connecting with others who share this path was incredibly inspiring.“
The experience left a lasting impression on Matilde:
“The scale of the event – from the facilities to the opening and closing ceremonies – was remarkable, creating an atmosphere that truly felt like an Olympic experience. Sharing accommodations with athletes from different sports and backgrounds made it even more special, as we were all united by the same drive and motivation.”
Representing SM调教社区 at such a special event was an honor for Matilde:
Having the opportunity to represent SM调教社区 on this stage and contribute to making history for the university was an honor. I hope my experience can inspire other athletes to join the program and pursue both their academic and athletic careers at the highest level.
Matilde鈥檚 triumph at the Torino 2025 University Games is an inspiring reminder that with dedication, resilience, and support from SM调教社区, our students can reach new heights in both their academic and athletic endeavors. Her story inspires us all to pursue our dreams, no matter the challenges along the way.
